What is Youth Future Day?
Youth Future Day is AIESEC’s virtual career day for students across Switzerland.
How long does it run for?
The event takes place on Wednesday 18th November 2020 between 9am-5pm CET.
Can I get involved at any point during the day?
Yes, the event is from 9am-5pm CET so you can join at any point during this time period. To maximise your opportunities, we recommend checking the agenda, to make sure you’re around for specific sessions (more information below).

- Keep an eye out for the event agenda.
- Complete your Goodwall profile (details below) on your laptop to enjoy the full experience.
- Join on the day of the fair by clicking here.
- Do your homework. Have a look at the employers that will be exhibiting and research them in advance so that you can prepare some questions.

- Add your location
- Add a short description about yourself
- Input your education
- Bonus: To make your profile stand out further to companies film a <60-second profile video introducing yourself and showcasing your personality. Note: This should be uploaded via Youtube and linked on Goodwall.
FAQ: I haven't registered on Goodwall, can I still participate?
We encourage you to create an account so you can take advantage of all the different opportunities throughout the day but you can still participate in a limited way on the Youth Future Day even without a registered account. You’ll be able to listen in to the speaker sessions, connect to your 1-on-1 video calls (if you booked one) and check out the company pages. However, if you’d like to participate in the information booth, social lounge or chat with any of the other participants or companies you will need to register. You will be asked to log-in when you try to contact a company via direct chat or join a live group chat session.
How do I join my 1-on-1 video call with a company?
You should have received it on Tuesday the 17th of November a Google calendar invite that included the contact details of the company recruiter. Note that these do not take place on the Goodwall platform, you will be directed to a virtual meeting room (Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Google Meet or Webex).
How can I engage with companies if the 1-on-1 video calls were all booked out?
No worries! You will still be able to chat directly with the companies through the messaging service by clicking ‘Ask a Question’ on the company page. The office hours during which each company is available to chat will be posted on the agenda.
What are speaker sessions and how can I tune in?
A host of inspiring, industry-leading speakers will be giving talks on employment related topics on the lobby’s Main Stage throughout the day. Details for all speaker sessions can be found in the agenda. To join simply click on the Main Stage at your chosen session time, where you will be redirected in a new window to listen in via Zoom.
What is a live group chat session and why should I join?
Live group chat sessions will be hosted by companies throughout the day, allowing participants to engage in a conversation alongside others. It’s important to make the most of joining these groups as companies will be sharing valuable information and you may find that someone else asks a question which you hadn’t considered – support from your peers will help guide the conversation.
The time slots of the live group chat sessions can be found in the agenda.
How do I join a live group chat session?
These are separate from the 1-on-1 chats with companies and can be found under ‘Groups’ at the bottom right of each company page. Simply click on the group to join and start chatting.
How can I chat 1-on-1 with a company?
Simply click on the ‘Ask a Question’ button in the top banner of each company’s page to start a 1-on-1 chat. Type your message and press ctrl+enter, then wait for the response. Consider a list of questions for each of the companies you are interested in, in advance, to make the most of this service.
Why aren't the 1-on-1 video call sessions on the agenda?
These sessions aren’t listed on the agenda because there are different formats / time slots for each company and participant. Reminder that:
- All chat functions (live group chat sessions + 1-on-1 direct chats) are on the Goodwall platform
- 1-on-1 video call bookings via Calendy are received directly via email and take place on Zoom. Deadline to book your 1-1 video call is Monday 16th at 1:30 pm.
How does a company know I've engaged with their page?
Companies can see who has viewed / followed their page, so may contact you directly as a result of this. Keep an eye on your Inbox to see new messages appear!
