Mukisa Derrick's post on Goodwall - My name is Mukisa Derrick , I grew up as a homeless kid in Kampala and I was later helped by a swedish tourist . I have been working with homeless kids and young adults in kisenyi slum . As we all know it's Ramadan and this is the most important month to every Muslim . 63 of the homeless kids I work with are practicing Muslims and they have been trying as much as much as they can to honor Ramadan . Its hard for the to easily access proper meals at the start of their fast and proper meals to break off their fast . Honestly I'm not so religious but the strong faith possessed by the strong kids amazes me . We are putting up a fundraiser to help provide proper meals to the homeless Muslim community with proper meals to support them through the month of Ramadan .
