Each challenge offered the chance to win big, with over $25,000 in prizes and awards given out.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>The global consortium<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Recognising that there\u2019s strength in numbers, Goodwall joined forces with like-minded organisations to tap into global networks and bring further benefit and content to participants.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A host of 35 international, multi-sector partners and collaborators came together to create momentum, including global online employment solution <a href=\"https:\/\/www.monster.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><em>Monster<\/em><\/a><em>,<\/em> global learning company <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pearson.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><em>Pearson<\/em><\/a> and online learning pioneer <a href=\"https:\/\/www.waldenu.edu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><em>Walden University<\/em><\/a>,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Notable figures also stepped in to add gravitas to the campaign, with special video launches supplied by the UN Secretary-General\u2019s Special Envoy for Youth Jayathma Wickramanayake and YMCA Secretary General Carlos Sanvee.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>60 diverse speakers from around the world including Netflix stars, NASA astronauts and serial entrepreneurs also lent their voice to their program with a series of live Q&amp;A sessions offering insight and inspiration to the community.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"800\" height=\"1883\" src=\"https:\/\/www.goodwall.io\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/BetterTogether-infographic-results.jpg\" alt=\"BetterTogether infographic results post program\" class=\"wp-image-2665\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.goodwall.io\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/BetterTogether-infographic-results.jpg 800w, https:\/\/www.goodwall.io\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/BetterTogether-infographic-results-255x600.jpg 255w, https:\/\/www.goodwall.io\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/BetterTogether-infographic-results-435x1024.jpg 435w, https:\/\/www.goodwall.io\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/BetterTogether-infographic-results-212x500.jpg 212w, https:\/\/www.goodwall.io\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/BetterTogether-infographic-results-768x1808.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.goodwall.io\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/BetterTogether-infographic-results-653x1536.jpg 653w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>The results<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Over 50,000 participants from 150+ countries took part in the program.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Due to its success, the program was even spotlighted on NPR\u2019s much loved podcast <a href=\"https:\/\/www.npr.org\/2020\/07\/28\/896466949\/how-i-built-resilience-taha-bawa-of-goodwall\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">How I Built This with Guy Raz<\/a>, as well as featured in <a href=\"https:\/\/campuspress.yale.edu\/tribune\/another-kind-of-summer-job-for-gen-z\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">The Yale Tribune<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cityam.com\/social-app-goodwall-launches-youth-employment-initiative\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">City AM<\/a>, among other titles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>BetterTogether participants aligned with the campaign\u2019s target audience ranging from high schoolers to young professionals, with the majority aged between 16-24 and studying at university.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Participants built skills, gained hope and access to courses, scholarships, jobs and investment. In fact, 97% of participants said they felt more positive about the future since taking part in the program, 98% said they made new friends, 74% said they felt more confident and 95% now view the Covid-19 situation as an opportunity to reevaluate their future.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>The winners<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>40 winners from across the globe were selected for their inspiring, most-liked entries, with hundreds of others claiming their accredited certificate on completion of the program.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As an example of the calibre of entrepreneurial thinking on display, the winning idea for the final #Pitch challenge came from Shinen Job, Nigeria. His idea to create Nigeria\u2019s first indigenous Silicon Valley wowed our judging panel and saw him take home $2,000 from HUS Awards to make his idea a reality.
